The residents in these areas have taken the initiative to participate in the "Neighborhood Watch" program. Neighborhood Watch members provide additional eyes and ears to our police department to prevent or report crime. Statistics show that strong neighborhood watch communities have lower crime rates. Is there no neighborhood watch in your area?
All that is necessary to start one is a group of interested residents in a development, on a street or block. Contact the Mount Laurel Police Department at 856-234-1414 x532.
Orientation meetings are held throughout the year. See the schedule below. All meetings are held in the meeting room/court room at teh Mount Laurel Municipal Center at 7PM.
You don't have to leave your home to participate. All you have to do is contact the police when you see or hear anything suspicious. If you are interested, contact the Police Department at 856-234-1414 x532.
The schedule for the 2012 Neighborhood Watch Training/Orientation sessions and quarterly coordinators meeting has been set. The dates for Orientation sessions are the third Tuesday of odd Months.
