 | With the tragic events of September 11, 2001, everyone is much more attuned to flying the Stars and Stripes. Unfortunately, many people do not realize there are relatively few proper methods to dispose of old flags. The Senior Educational and Outreach Committee has provided a flag mailbox at the Mount Laurel Library for the disposal of tattered and otherwise worn out American flags. Therefore, please bring your worn and tattered American flags to the Mount Laurel Library and deposit them in the box at the entrance. The flags will be routinely collected by the County Veterans Affairs Office and burned at the County Fire Academy incinerator off Woodlane Road, Westampton. |
