Spring 2008 DVRT 40 hour Certification Course

 

A Call for Volunteers

 

           

Chief of Police Dennis Moffett and the Mount Laurel Police Department, in collaboration with Providence House Shelter, is seeking volunteers for our Domestic Violence Response Team for a springtime training course.  The team members will work in conjunction with the police to provide support, information and referral at the time of a domestic violence crisis.  Providence House Shelter and the Police Department are committed to a multi-racial, multi-ethnic team to serve the community in the best manner possible. 

 

Applicants must be:

v     18 years of age or older,

v     Have access to transportation,

v     Possess a valid driver's license,

v     Must be available for duty a minimum of three 12- hour shifts per month,

v     Submit to background investigations, including fingerprinting and,

v     Available for training beginning Monday February 25th and every Monday and Wednesday thereafter for 6 weeks from 6:30 PM until 9:30 PM with an April 2nd graduation date.
