Mount Laurel Police Department

UPGRADES KID PRINT PROGRAM

Chief Dennis Moffett is pleased to announce that the Mount Laurel Police Department has upgraded its ongoing safety program of identifying juveniles of all ages who reside in the Mount Laurel Community.

The state of the art child identification system, in operation now for one month, has been used heavily and was purchased with Special Law Enforcement Funding, which is an account that is funded through criminal asset forfeitures.

The system produces a child identification card free of charge to parents or guardians who make a request through the departments Community Policing Bureau.

The kID card contains biographical data, a fingerprint, and digital image of the child printed out on a credit card sized plastic card that can be easily carried in a wallet. This allows the card to be accessible if ever needed in the event a child may become missing.

Parents and guardians also have the option of keeping this information in secure remote storage for future use in the event a card is lost or misplaced.

For more information please contact The Mount Laurel Township Community Policing Bureau at (856) 234-1414 X 532.
