Mount Laurel Police Department Promotes 5 Officers We are pleased to announce the promotion of 5 officers. All five were officially promoted at the regular township meeting on October 5, 2008. They each took their oath of office in front of a packed room of family, friends and members of our community. Sgt. Kevin Randall was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Lt. Randall has been with the Mount Laurel Police Department since 1990. He has served as a patrol officer, community-policing officer, patrol sergeant, and as an instructor at the police academy. Lt. Randall is assigned as a watch commander in the operations division. Sgt. Paul Modugno was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Lt. Modugno has been with the police department since 1987. He has served as a patrol officer, field-training officer, lead officer, patrol sergeant, community policing sergeant, and detective sergeant. Lt. Modugno is assigned as a watch commander in the operations division. Lead Officer Robert Logan was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sgt. Logan has been with the Mount Laurel Police Department since 2001. He will be assigned as a shift supervisor. Lead Officer Judy Lynn Schiavone was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sgt. Schiavone has been with the Mount Laurel Police Department since 1999. She will be the first woman to reach the rank of Sergeant and is assigned as a shift supervisor. Lead Officer Ted Howell was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sgt. Howell has been with the Mount Laurel Police Department since 1995. He will be assigned as a shift supervisor.

William Rudderow, a 21-year veteran of the Mount Laurel Police Department is reassigned from the services division to the detective bureau as Detective Sergeant. Sgt. William Baskay, a 9-year veteran of the Mount Laurel Police Department is reassigned from the operations division to Administrative Sergeant. They will assist the patrol sergeant in supervision of patrol officers. Lester Hann, III, an 8-year veteran of the Pemberton Township Police Department has transferred to the Mount Laurel Police Department. He joined the Mount Laurel Police Department on September 29th, and is assigned to the operations division, patrol bureau. |
