When Do I Call 9-1-1?

Residents often ask when to use 9-1-1. The Mount Laurel Township Police Department’s regular number (234-1414) handles non-emergency situations (traffic problems, vandalism, noise complaints.) But, if you are calling when a crime is in progress, to report a fire or to request emergency medical assistance, call 9-1-1. Hearing impaired residents can call 9-1-1-TDD (telephone device for the deaf).

I was issued a ticket, what should I do ?

If you have questions regarding a ticket issued by a Mount Laurel Police Officer or a New Jersey State Trooper while you were in Mount Laurel, you should call the Mount Laurel Court Offices at (856) 234-2003 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

How do I get copies of Police Records in regards to an issue I am involved in?

Please request these document in writing to the Service Division attention Police Records Bureau It normally takes 5 business days to respond to your request. You may also call the Records Bureau directly at (856) 722-7567.

The following fees and charges are hereby established for copies of photographs, reports and other documents to be furnished by the Mount Laurel Police Department:

Making and supplying prints of photographs taken in connection with any accident, investigation or any other matter under the jurisdiction of the Police Department.

Photographs 35mm standard - $1.00 per print.

Polaroid Prints - $2.00 per print.

Video Tapes - $5.00 per tape.

Standard Audio Cassette - $3.00 per cassette.

Micro Cassette - $3.00 per cassette.

3.5" Floppy Disk - $2.00 per disk.

DVD - $4.00 per DVD.

CD - $4.00 per CD

 

Making and supplying copies of reports or statements.

Pages 1 through 10 - $.75 each.

Pages 11 through 20 - $.50 each.

Pages over 20 - $.25 each.
